Band

The Band

"Terlingo Sacchi Blues Quintet" is the new Paul Terlingo (voice and guitar) and Andrea Sacchi Slim (harmonica) project. The quintet is inspired by the sound of late sixities blues and a hard bop vibe. The band has Alessandro Bernini on piano, Gianmarco Jimi Straniero on bass, Alessandro Ferrari on drums and Steve Bergonzi on guitar.

With the latest cd ("Freshmen", Ultrasound Records 2014), the TerlingoSacchi BluesQuintet offers a show where shuffle meets swing, but you can even find this match in the busload of TerlingoSacchi originals spread on their several albums. The band hit the road for two European tours so far and won a slew of awards, including the prestigious Bluesin, the Pistoia Blues Festival 2009.

Locomotive man pt 2

Got some folk they bring my name If one got books the other brought a flame Heavy lies the crown someone say Cold in hell i discovered my self the hard way Please send me just one blues at-the-time You don’t’ know me like that You know what they say that you’ve to run before you walk indeed… But bein right ain’ gonna do us any fuckin good babe You know what’s so good about the blues Nobody knows just what it is… However long they talk about it Noone get They just keep tryng and tryng… You know what’s so good about the truth Every one knows just what it is… However long they live without it Noone forget They just get better of lyng… Can i have that blues to go You don’t’ know me like that You know what they say that apples don’t fall too far from the tree Cause i got it in me to go the whole fuckin distance baby Can you have that fire to go I think you ain’t seen nothing yet You know what they say that only time, the time will tell Cause i got it in me to go the whole distance baby

Locomotive man pt 3

What i’m say-in it’s like tryn to keep two dogs in a tub… know just what i mean Someone sent me some friends they just care about me Maybe i am’out of the doghouse Think i’ll have that blues to go You don’t’ know me like that You know what they say that you’ve to run before you walk indeed… But bein right ain’ gonna do us any fuckin good babe

Johnny and Meg

Let me tell you about this john i know, and a girl… He used to tell me that youth is wasted…on the young And because a stout is mightier than the sword He said “she’s my boss”…she said “meaning what” And you know what they say / that great mind thinks a-like And you can always take, / she says, that to the bank Someone ask her why little john always is so sad She goes “look at the big and go for yourself” And if we stick toghether then we can just… work it out If i could only have just one more chance…and one more stout Raks his brain to play the best scene ever made He fell drunk one nite, she said “he’s all right” Someone ask her why little john always is so sad She goes “look at the big and go for your self” And you know what they say / that great mind thinks a-like And you can always take, / she says, that to the bank

Anna

Anytime, anyplace, annie waits any trace somehow I know I know that we sometime lie, sometime die sometime low and sometime high Sure you can tell by the way she smiles Anyone, annie too, any three points can be… Somehow you know you know that we Sometime walk sometime run, rather talk mostime shut Anyway still makes it all worthwhile

Jimi (got the blues)

F’ you wanna talk about the blues, your choose / but lemme tell just one thing i heard The leopard never change his spot, they say Well he got what it takes, / …but takes two to get the blues If you give somebody an inch then they’ll take a mile / only time will tell… james bound to hell The grass is always greener on the other goddamn side You know jimi payed his dues Jimi ain’t got no other shoes You know jimi…got the blues When jimi gave her the french leave, that’ right She tough he was on the same page…ain’t splittin hair But have you got just what it takes, she sayd Well i got what it takes, …but takes two to get the blues But jimi got no choose Jimi put on the wakin shoes You know jimi…got the blues

Thoreau

Let me tell you about a place Well nobody knows Where i’m going and what i’m doing Am i right or wrong Price have gone up just too high Here i am and you know what - i don’t know why Not until lost we begin to get ourselves Not until lost we begin to know Things they dont change, we change… Things do not Someone said i got a great Deal of company I got especially in the morning When noone calls Price have gone up just too high Here i am and you know what - i don’t know why Not until lost we begin to get ourselves Not until lost we begin to know Things they dont change, we change…
